Your guess is as good as mine

Through the twists, turns, tunnels, and roads of the cosmos, life will find a way directly into your heart.

Your heart will break with sadness.
You will be presented with so much beauty it will stop you in your tracks.
You will laugh so hard that tears roll down your sweet face.
You will miss someone so much you don’t know what to do with yourself.
You will feel scared, unsure, and groundless.
You will also feel love, joy, and delight.
You will be bored.
You will be in awe.

You will wonder: What is this all about?

Your guess is as good as mine, but I tend to believe that the point of life is to experience it. To experience all of it. The hard parts we don’t want and the easy parts we want more of.

If this is the point, it makes sense that instead of pushing against the stuff we don’t want, we should open up to life’s way of getting into all the nooks and crannies of our hearts, take a deep breath, and do the big brave work of allowing.

Allowing the hard to be hard. The good to be good. The sad to be sad. Allowing the scary to be scary. The love to be love. The easy to be easy. Those things are coming whether we open up to them or not, and pushing against them just makes it harder.

Life is doing its job just like it always has and always will. So put your challenges up on an altar, light a candle, bend a knee, and worship the ground they walk on because this is life finding a way, and we get to be part of the mystery.
