Need more time? Read this.

How many times have you told yourself (or other people) this week that you simply don’t have time?

If you’re anything like I used to be (and sometimes still am), the I don’t have time jam is on heavy rotation.

Here's the thing about thinking or saying I don’t have time.

It’s not true.

You have plenty of time.

You might not be aware of it, but when you say I don’t have time, what you really mean is one of two things:

1) I don’t want to.

Or

2) I don’t manage my time well.

That’s it. You either don’t want to do the thing, or you don’t manage your time effectively.
There’s nothing wrong with either, it’s just good to know.

So which is it?

If you don’t want to do the thing, you can decide to say no, and then allow the people around you to respond however they choose, without making it mean anything about you.

Saying no is a beautiful skill to practice.

If you don’t manage your time effectively, learn how to manage it better. There are many tools and resources out there that can help you do this. One of the best ways I manage my time is by batch cooking our Meal Plans each week. This way I’m not cooking from scratch each night or making multiple trips to the grocery store during the week.

When you manage your time well, you have more time. Simple as that.

You can get better at saying no and managing your time, but if you keep telling yourself I don’t have time, you won’t look for ways to improve in these areas. You’ll remain a victim of time, instead of using it to create the life you want.

And the life you want? That life is worth putting to rest the false belief that you don’t have time. You have time. Go get it!

Today over on the blog I’m talking with Joanie, one of our Meal Plan subscribers. I loved talking with her and hearing about how she used 2020 to find her whole-food plant-based cooking groove. We’re also giving you a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Shake recipe. Lezzzz do it up over here!
